How come the essence of a "thank you" has lost its meaning on some people?
I always find it rude or a bad manner when some people never say "thank you". As a token of appreciation, a "thank you" is never required but does wonders for me.
I have taught EJ how to say thank you and I am proud to say that he's learned quite well. When I give him something (or anything) he'd always say "ted you, mommy!"
It never fails to make my heart swell with pride.

Magic words are important for the kiddos to learn talaga. And just like you, I find it rude if people never say "thank you". It's like they don't appreciate a gift given, or a help rendered. But especially a gift given. OA ba? hahaha.
And mas malapit ang Ted you sa Thank you, than sa Whack you. :)
Ay naku, nde ka OA! Kse kung OA ka, mas OA pala ako? hehehe
What the kids can say, it's really funny no?:)
Teaching your child to say Thank You and You're Welcome is a great way of teaching him about good manners.
Rachel - yeah that's true. And good manners always starts at home :)
