Late post: EJ turned two

I have almost forgotten to write and post EJ's 2nd birthday. I got caught up with other things but here it is now :)

I was happy that EJ's birthday fell on a Sunday (August 10) this year. Last year we celebrated his birthday a day after his actual birthday because it was on a Friday.

Unlike his first birthday, this year it was just a simple birthday with family and friends. We had it at Jade Palace Restaurant along Shaw Boulevard. The food was very good at very affordable prices. The drinks were another story though. I think half of the total bill was for drinks only. But compared to other restaurants, I think Jade Palace was still a better choice. We even had a lot of left overs and brought it home. Their lemon fish was a winner!

Would you believe that we only had a total of three pictures during the party? I know. Hubby was busy entertaining the guests and I was busy running after EJ. He was hyper that day, running, dancing and playing with other kids. He was also itching to blow the candle right away.

We got the cake from French Kiss. It was just a small cake with a thomas the train design but it was perfect (Price - P1,200) I ordered it while we were still here in KL. I didn't even pay the deposit but they trusted me and made the cake (though they only put one candle, hehe). EJ wanted to take the train. He thought it was a real toy train! The taste? I didn't get to taste it. We gave the whole cake away to my MIL.

EJ's first birthday was different. We had a theme, a clown, Barney mascot, games for the kids, souvenirs for the godparents, etc. I guess it's kind of obligatory to have a "grand" first birthday party. It was fun. But his 2nd birthday party was just as fun.

I think his third birthday will be celebrated at home only with family. It will be less stressful and more meaningful that way :)

Oo nga, pag 1st birthday talaga ng bata parang it's obligatory na madami handa and madami bisita. Hehehe! But I think sa mga Pinoy lang ata yan uso, eh. Kasi dito sa mga SG, parang tahimik lang. Hahaha.

Actually, di ko rin ma-gets kung bakit dapat madaming bata na invited pag 1st birthday, eh kung ang celebrant is matutulog lang the entire time. Case in point, si Sean. Hahaha! Kaya dali-dali kaming kumanta ng happy birthday para makapag "blow" na sya ng candle. Pero ako rin ang nagblow. Hahaha!
