Looking forward to the best of 2009

My boys are still sleeping, probably tired from last night's festivities. But here I am with boundless energy! So I thought I'd start the year right by blogging and working on my assignments. Does that mean I'd be blogging non-stop this whole year? LOL. Hopefully I'll be writing more assignments this 2009.

This is how we bid goodbye to 2008 and welcomed year 2009.

We decided against going out so we'll spend less and instead stay at home and prepare food. We had "crispy pata" wrapped in bacon, baked mac, ham and fruit salad. It was actually a lot so it will be reheated for today's lunch :)

After dinner we went to Bukit Bintang to check out the concert and had originally planned to stay until the countdown.

But decided against it because there were just so many people around. It wasn't safe for us with babies. So we went back home.

A few minutes before the clock struck at 12midnight, we threw coins from our door all the way to the living room. Hoping for good fortune to come our home this 2009.

And then we joined (although we were home but we can still hear the countdown) the rest of the crowd counting down to 12midnight.

We watched the fireworks display safely ensconced and at the comforts of our living room. It lasted for about 15 minutes or so. EJ was amazed with the fireworks display. And it was really spectacular too. More photos of the fireworks can be found at hubby's photo blog.

Year 2008 has been a pretty good year for us. We have been blessed with good health, EJ making leaps of developments and financially speaking it was good for us too. We have made some little investments, travelled to several places and twice back home.

We are truly grateful for all the blessings we have received. It was a perfect year for us.

Now it's 2009. A new year and another year to make changes, improvements and make our plans into a reality. This year we hope for another good year if not better than the last. We're particularly looking forward to the following, God-willing:

a) Furnish our condo unit
b) Make another small investment
c) Travel to another country
d) Put up a business (maybe coffee franchises or something else)
e) My parent's 40th wedding anniversary

To our families and friends, thank you for enriching our lives as always and thank you for being part of a wonderful 2008!

I wish us all Good Health, Peace of Mind, Contentment and Good Fortune for this New Year.

Cheers!!!

Happy new year, too, sis! Wishing that all your wishes come true.

And speaking of diet from my blog, I say you look wonderful and fit na, and I truly envy you. You'll be my inspiration with regards to my dieting. Your determination paid off. If only I have your determination and will power. Hehe. It's just that I can't help to have a sin day everyday. Hehehe.

Kaye - Thanks sis! :) We'll take this dieting one day at a time. Ang ginagawa ko, may point system ako. Let's say from Monday to Friday, dapat stick ako sa diet ko and then pag na-follow ko un, I'll reward myself pagdating ng Sat. I eat whatever I like. Tapos back to portion control ulet on Sunday or di kaya Monday.

Let's do it for our health and of course in the new of beauty! Hahaha!
