Pepper Lunch in KL

We finally made our way to the tables of Pepper Lunch at Pavilion Mall last night. I was expecting a long line at the counter but surprisingly there was no line at all. And there were so many vacant seats inside.

Anyway I ordered a hamburger steak with egg for me and a combo chicken and salmon for hubby. I ordered 1 extra rice anticipating the need for it.

Hubby's order arrived first. He took a bite of the chicken first and said it was good. Great!

When my order came, I was drooling. It looked good. I took a small bite it was juicy and.....it was salty! I don't know if that was how it was supposed to taste but it was really salty for my taste. I asked hubby to take a bite. Verdict? Salty.

I was so disappointed. I didn't even eat half of my food. If I eat this way all the time then there's no need for me to try a diet pill. Hehehe.

Meanwhile hubby was enjoying his food. He even finished the extra rice I ordered! It looks like we're still going back to Pepper Lunch. But next time I won't order the hamburger steak anymore.

PS. We forgot to bring our camera. I used hubby's phone for the photos above.

Janet - actually hubby's taste is salty but he still found the hamburger steak salty...hehe. we went back to pepper lunch tonight. i told the counter staff that their hamburger steak was salty. hopefully something can be done about it. unless that's the way it should taste..hehe.

I tried the beef pepper rice @ pepper lunch last Sunday. Tastes great with cheese. Business was good and there was a long queue.

I wanted to try the hamburger steak, but changed my mind at the end.

Kaye - hahaha, ganun din ako minsan.

Liza - thanks for leaving a comment. I will certainly try the beef pepper rice with cheese next time.

The second time we went there I ordered sliced beef (?) and it was good but hubby's order of chicken was even better.

I have just blogged about this place also and have noticed we came up in the Google search!

My personal favourite is also the Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese. The curry variant is also not bad if you want a bit of an extra kick!

Josiet - we went back to Pepper Lunch and tried the chicken steak (since your hubby loved it). :)

Yes, it's very yummy. My hubby tried the hamburger steak this time round. Wasn't too salty. I guess your feedback worked and they have fixed the problem. LOL.

Jeroen - are the Pepper Lunch restaurants in Manila owned by the same company in Singapore?

PL philippines is owned by me and my wife.

When i read about the saltiness of the burger i informed Singapore and they knew about it already so everything should be OK now or at least fixed very soon.

Liza - thanks for coming back!

Mr. Jeroen - I'm a fan of your wife's blog :) I knew about PL from her blog. Unfortunately haven't been to PL Phils because Rockwell is way far from our place. I am glad PL shang is open already. We'll be there on our next visit to Manila soon. Thanks for commenting here :)
