Hubby has just signed his extended and amended contract today. Looks like we will be here for one more great year in KL!
Several months ago, we were not sure if his contract was going to be renewed. While it wasn't really a big deal, it was one of our considerations if we would accept the NZ offer.
Looking back, the decision making gave me a couple or more sleepless nights. I am the type who can't sleep if there's a problem unsolved.
I used to stay up late at nights reading all I can about NZ, comparing it with our life here and of course listing down the pros and cons. I usually go with my gut-feel and my gut-feel told me then to stay here. But since it was our life at stake, I went the organized way. I wrote my feelings, likes and dislikes. And I wrote the actual things, pros and cons too.
In a funny twist of event after hubby declined the offer in NZ, he received another offer somewhere in middle east.
Goes to show, if you're really good, you are good everywhere. That's my hubby *proud smile*!
So it seems we've made the right decision of staying here. We're near to our families. And there are more opportunities to travel (Malaysia has so many holidays!).
We're so happy. This year is shaping up to be a great year for us. Fingers crossed.

i am the same. i would list pros and cons whenever i need to make a big decision. i'm glad to hear that you're staying in KL and that you are expecting a great year.

while some suffers crisis, full time work was reduced to partime work, your hubby got an ammended contract.

CRISIS should not affect us.Go for that "being good and the best if possible", it brings money.
