Goodbye Teacher
I went home
to pay tribute
to my teacher.
She was a fighter
and a survivor.
She taught me
about life.
She taught me
to be strong,
for she was strong.
She was my
first teacher.
She taught me
my ABCs
and 123s.
She was my teacher.
And she was my mother.
