At Basilique du Sacré Coeur

In our original itinerary, we did not include Basilique du Sacre Coeur because it is a bit far from the city center.

But when we were in Paris already, I don't know what changed our mind, but we suddenly wanted to visit the place.

After looking at their train map for a hundredth time, we decided to see Sacre Coeur.

As the basilica is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city, we had to trek up. It wasn't difficult but I was busy catching my breath when we finally arrived there. I guess I did burn a good amount of calories, probably good enough as opiate detox.

But EJ was surprisingly in a good spirit. He did not even complain once or he did not even ask to be carried.

Sacre Coeur

This was a nice view

Overlooking the city

We did not see the Eiffel Tower from here though. On another side, I guess?

The purpose of the tripod is to take a family picture like this =)

EJ took this one

He wanted a solo shot

And of course, fun is always with EJ everywhere he goes!
