So anyway, on Father's Day, I let hubby choose where he wants to eat for dinner. Since we were staying at Sofitel that night, hubby was almost tempted to just go straight to La Coupole. LOL! In the end though, he chose Fu Lu Zu, much to the disappoint of the kiddo.

Hungry and ready to order.
Just trying to be cute. LOL!
We wanted to order a portion of their suckling roasted pig but it was not available that night. So we got a mixed pork barbeque (below). Price: $10
Deep fried shrimps with fried garlic $14. Lately, EJ's been fond of fried garlic. Everytime I cook fried tilapia, I always make sure to include fried garlic. He likes to eat it on its own or sprinkle it on his rice.
Steamed seabass fish in soya sauce $28. This was huge. We always order garoupa fish when dining in a chinese resto but I am glad we tried this one. It's so meaty and the soya sauce complements the meat so well.
We also ordered one yang zhou fried rice and it was enough for the three of us. Our bill amounted to $75+ with green tea and apple juice only for drinks.
I would say, I enjoyed the experience (nice place, great service) but it was definitely one of the expensive chinese dinners we had. But I noticed that dimsums which are only available during lunch time are pretty affordable. One order of dimsum ranges from $2.50-$3.50.
It was an enjoyable dinner indeed but given the choice, I would rather eat in La Coupole. You guessed it. We're gluttons! LOL!
