Hi! Welcome to my blog, Mumsified.
My name is Josiet. I am a wife and partner to Eric and a mom to EJ. We're Filipino expats currently living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Our family's motto is "home is where the heart is" because we don't have a permanent home. LOL!
Having said that, we have traveled to several cities around the world and have lived in three different countries now: Maldives (3 years); Malaysia (1.5 years) ; and right now, we call Cambodia our home (since 2009).
I started this blog to document my son's growing up days, one sunny day in Maldives. Now this blog has morphed and grown into so many things.
I still write about my son. But mostly, I just write anything and everything about our expat lives and our many (mis)adventures.
Thanks for reading!
We're no longer expats. We moved back to the Philippines just last month (June 2016). Guess what, I was ecstatic to move back to the Philippines but right now I am experiencing what they call "reverse culture shock". Understandably, Philippines is not what it was 10 years ago. So right now, I feel like being in a foreign place surrounded by some familiar places. Kinda weird. I know.
EJ, our son, asked me how long we're going to stay in the Philippines. I was caught off guard. Oo nga, how long are we going to stay here? For good? For a year or two?
Well, I don't know. Wherever we maybe, as long as we're together, it's perfectly fine with me :)
